The exciting 2023 LIV Golf season got underway with many of the biggest names in world golf teeing it up in the first event of the LIV Golf League’s in Mayakoba. It is the venue for the latest chapter in the series that’s bringing a radical new look to the great game of golf.

The El Cameleón Course in Mexico sits on the Riviera Maya, just down the coast from honeymoon hotbed Cancun. The course, designed by LIV Golf Commissioner & CEO Greg Norman, fuses challenging holes with glorious scenery in a breathtaking beach-side setting.

Graeme finished in 13th position with a score of -4 for the week. His opening round of -1 included some great shots into the green coming up close, his tee shot on the par 3 8th hit the pin but took an un lucky bounce off the green, he ended with the day with a birdie which steadied the ship.

On Day 2 Graeme put himself right in the mix with a wonderful round of -4, which put him in the top 10 going into the final round.

Sunday started well with Graeme up to T6 after the front nine. With dropped shots coming in he fell back down the field to end the final round 1 over, putting him on -4 for the week. Charles Howell III was the winner on -16.

Team Cleeks GC finished in 12th Place on +4, Crushers GC won with -26

A lot of positives to take away from the week and his game in great shape, a slightly disappointing final day back nine but a great place to build from.

International Series Oman

The Asian Tour’s International Series kicked off its 10 event season at Al Mouj Golf in Oman’s capital Muscat.

Graeme was part of the impressive 132-player field including golfers from 23 countries across 6 continents.

What proved to be a windy week on the links, Graeme finishing in T36 with rounds of 73, 72, 73 and 74, giving him a score of +4, Takumi Kanaya from Japan was the winner on -10. Graeme now heads home and prepares for the first 2023 LIV event at El Camaleón Golf Course in Mayakoba, Mexico on the 24-26 February.

Graeme commented on playing in the Sultanate for the first time and said, “I’ve played a lot of golf in the Middle East for the last 20 years and it’s always amazing to come to new places. I like what I see so far, it’s a beautiful country with great facilities and a great golf course this week and I’m looking forward to competing this weekend.”

PIF Saudi International powered by Softbank Investment Advisers

With rounds of 70,67 70 and 66, it was a good start to the 2023 season with a respectable 7 under T25 finish at the PIF Saudi International powered by Softbank Investment Advisers. I hit the ball well tee to green and the putter warmed up as the week came to a finale with a nice 66, included 5 birdies.

The Royal Greens Golf and Country Club holds fond memories after being the Saudi International Champion back in 2020 with a 2 shot margin. As always the club and staff were incredibly welcoming and hosted a fantastic tournament.

BNI Indonesian Masters presented by Tunas Niaga Energi

Graeme ended his 2022 season with an impressive tied 3rd place at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club.

After dropping shots on the first 2 holes on Day 1, Graeme got into the groove with 4 birdies and no dropped shots to end the day in tied 22nd place on -2. He then shot a solid 67 on Day 2 before an eventful Day 3 was suspended just after 3 o’clock local time, due to lightning threats and an earthquake! Graeme at the time was three back with two remaining. Keeping his concentration when played resumed Graeme came in with another good 67 which bumped him up the leaderboard to a share of 3rd place. The final round saw Graeme shoot at 69 and maintain his position of T3 on the leaderboard. Sarit Suwannarut was the winner with a score of -20.

Graeme makes eagle-2 on the 6th at the Indonesian Masters on Day 2.

LIV Golf – Miami

The 2022 LIV Golf season came to it’s finale at the world-class Trump National Doral Golf Club on October 28th- 30th. The event saw 12 teams of golfing legends, including Johnson, Smith, DeChambeau, Koepka and Mickelson going head-to-head in a supercharged weekend of shotgun starts, great food and live music by headline artists.

Graeme and his Cleeks GC team mate Richard Bland got off to a good start in the Quarter-finals coming home 2 up winners against Vincent and Otaegui. That set up an exciting Semi-final against Perez and Gooch. The match swung both ways and was even going into the 17th hole. Perez and Gooch holed to win the hole and with the 18th hole squared they took the win.

Speaking on the Thursday Graeme commented “It’s been an amazing year, one that has been game-changing for the sport and life-changing for me and my family. Making the jump into a start up product like @LIV Golf and seeing it grow so much, so quickly has been exciting and rewarding to be part of. This weekend will finish the season in style, with the innovative Team Championship. Proud to be part of Cleeks GC  and looking forward to a big few days.”

LIV Golf – Jeddah

Graeme came home in 16th place at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City outside of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

After an opening round of 70 Graeme put in a great second round of 65, after which he said “Controlled it well today in another strong breeze. Nice to see some putts go in and pitch in eagle on 4 was a lovely bonus”. He shot a solid 68 on Sunday to end which a score of -7.

Graeme’s team Cleeks GC finished in 8th place.

Royal Greens Golf & Country Club holds fond memories for Graeme after his impressive 2020 win at the Saudi International.

LIV Golf – Bangkok

Graeme finished in 43rd place at Stonehill Golf Course just north of Bangkok. Located on 340-acres in the Pathum Thani province, Stonehill is a new private golf.

Graeme was looking good after Day with a good round of 68 which had him well placed. He struggled to keep the momentum going on Day 2 with dropped shots early in his round, he steadied the ship but a 73 dropped him down the leaderboard. Graeme shot a 1 under 71 on his final round to finish for the week on -4.

Team Cleeks GC (Graeme, Laurie Canter, Martin Kaymer, Richard Bland) had a great 3rd place finish.

LIV Golf – Chicago

Graeme finished in 41st place at Rich Harvest Farms near Chicago.

Graeme followed up a strong opening round of 71 which had him in 14th spot, with a disappointing 75 which dropped him down the leaderboard. He signed off with a final round 74 and a total score of +4.

Team Cleeks GC was placed 9 with a score of -8.
