Mar 07th – 09th, 2025

LIV Golf’s latest event rolled into Fanlin, Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Golf Club.

Having finished 8th place last year it is an event that Graeme’s enjoys.

G-Mac opened his account with an opening 2 under par which included three birdies with one dropped shot.

It was on day Day 2 that Graeme found his rhythm shooting a fantastic five-under par to put him just four shots off the pace. This moved him up to seventh place and in good shape on the leaderboard at seven-under-par.

However, despite a strong stretch of four birdies in seven holes on Sunday, Graeme slipped out of the top 10. A bogey on the par-4 11th (his 10th hole of the day) and a late double bogey on the 18th (his 17th hole) saw him drop to 12th place. He finished the event with a 2-under-par round, ending the week at 9-under-par.

Result: T12, -2, -5, -2, Total -9

Team Smash GC finished in 12th place with a score of +3, -15, -5, Total -17

THE COURSE

Now, LIV Golf is here to write a fresh chapter in this amazing history. Last year’s debut brought a record single-day crowd to Fanling, finishing in twin thrillers on the final day.

Whether you caught LIV Golf Hong Kong last year or you’re making your own debut this time, here’s everything to know as we begin the first Asian leg of our season.

Hong Kong Golf Club can trace its history all the way back to 1889 and the current course was first laid in 1911. It’s been hosting the Hong Kong Open every year since 1959 (our own Patrick Reed, of 4Aces GC, took the last one in 2024).

How does this course play?

Tight and tough. Fanling is one of the smallest courses in golf, so bomb and gouge (the golfers’ term for distance over accuracy) won’t cut it.

Course Stats: 6691 Yards, Par 70.
